Filmfare Award 2012

· The 2500th (blackLady) Filmfare Award got A R Rahmaan. Lucky Award!

· one more lucky award-Usha Uthhup Got her first award in 42 yrs of her career. she started crying. ......poor Bollywood.

· R. Rahman has won every time (10) he was nominated for this award except once in 2005 where he lost to Anu Malik. he has won most awards for music direction. Gulzar also won most lyricist award (10 times). Anand Bakshi Nominated 40 times but won 4. in 2005 Javed Akhtar was the single nominee, having all the five nominations of this category.

Playback (male) singer award won by Mohit Chauhan defeating the international acclaimed Akon for chammak challo. Kishor daa nominated 27 times and won 8 (most by any singer). KK and Suresh wadekar are most nominee without ever winning. kumar sanu has the record for most consecutive win (5 from 1990 to 94).

· Chammak Challo is one of the nomination for best lyrics along with Nadan Parindey, sada haq and gulzar's Darling......What is so extraordinary with Chammak Challo i dont know.

· best Scene Award introduced in 1998. why? and best 'scene' award went to The 'Dirty' picture. why not Rockstar that contain extraordinary picturesque and expressive scenes.

· Best Performance in a Negative Role and Best Performance in a Comic Role are the categories removed after 2007. Why ??

Lifetime Achievement Award grabed by Pyarelal and Aruna irani. The first reciepient of this category was Amitabh Bachhan (1990). after that he did around 80 movies. He got Special award for completing 40 years in film industry in 2011. (a superstar who started his second inning after getting lifetime achievement award that is supposed to end of career)

Partho Gupte – Special Filmfare Jury Certificate – Stanley Ka Dabba- A welcome move.

Best Documentary (category removed after 1997) - Bollywood is limiting itself to feature films only and that too only commercial ones . when did last art movie you see?? the viewers who want to see art movie or documentry are few but that doesn't mean the mother of all award should also ignore it instead of taking responsibility to promote documentaries and art movies.

The Filmfare Power Award :The first award was given for the year 2003 and is given every year to those who are ranked No. 1 in the listing of the most powerful names of Bollywood. It is voted each year by the film fraternity. in 2006,7 and 8 it was bagged by Yash Chopra & Aditya Chopra. in 2008 it was removed from the list of special awards.

this shows there are very few powerful people in the industry and probably Filmfare doesn't want to give awards to same person every year.

There should be a category for Best Short Movies and best Children movie as well. there is a great need of promoting both kind of cinema.

No doubt there are many talented actors in this list. But is this not limiting the talent? doesn’t India has talent out side these families? Now a day when we see Award functions it seems we are watching a family drama. Scenario is changed. Previously we used to see award functions where we find talent being awarded. Now a days we connects link why an actor got that award. New categories are being formed. All we see is lobbying and marketing. Where is talent?

For example Tussar kapoor is used as a produt offer. If you buy a good product the suppy of bad is utilised free of cost. If you see Nasiruddin Shah and Vidya Balan, you will have to tolerate the great talent Tussar Kapoor. How many solo worth film he has delivered?

Talents from reputed institutes like NSD and FTII, are running short of work whereas these 'sons' get big banner launch, after completing formalities from some foreign film institutes. (exceptions are there no doubt!)

So the crux is neither Bollywood has enough doors for the entry of new talents nor actual talent is being awarded. The time where we are aiming to make satisfactory space in global cinema, here we are confined to some families.
